Snapshots of Hope..
September 28th thru October 26th 2014. Come on out and get in on the action. You'll be glad you did because the hope you've longed for is only an invite away!
9/28The Story of Our Lives... John 20:24-31
For one reason or another there comes a time or two in our life when we begin to “doubt” God, or question his action and/or inaction. The good news is that we’re not alone, and at the end of the day God doesn’t hold it against us. He simply “turns our way” and asks us to not become faithless, but instead to become faithful for it’s the surest path to “life in his name”.
10/12On Being Released... John 8:1-11
Rare is the person who doesn’t look back at the things they have said or done without experiencing some type of regret, and all too often, that regret leads to shame. Shame, when left unresolved, can keep us trapped in a prison of sorts. The good news is that the only one qualified to condemn us doesn’t. He simply looks us in the eye and releases us to embrace a life of freedom (law vs. grace).
10/19So, what's the plan?! Acts 1:1-8
So, this is my next to last Sunday, and next week marks both an exit (mine) and and entrance (Pastor Carl and his family). In fact, if you think about it, you can't have one without the other. Furthermore, exits and entrances can at times leave you with feelings of uncertainty, especially when they involve a mission as large as the one we share. In other words, it is here, in the midst of an exit and an entrance, when we sometimes wonder, what's the plan? If you want the answer, however, you'll have to come to the worship service. See you then.
10/26Eyes on the Prize... Hebrews 12:1-3
Let’s be honest, in the midst of life, ministry, mission, purpose, and church we can occasionally lose steam. The rigors of it all can push us into the realm of mediocrity and a fading of our passion. This is normal for every one of us in the room. This is precisely when we, as individuals and a church, would do well to fix our eyes and hearts on the One who makes it all possible, for if we do, he will breathe back into us a holy fixation.
So today, my last day, that I want to leave you with this; in the midst of everything we have or have not done over the past eleven months, or better yet over our entire life, there's something we've never been. Come on out and find how what...

Pajama Sunday!! October 5th!! 9:30am!! Meet in the Sanctuary!!
Hey there, guess what? Children’s Sunday School is kicking off on Sunday, October 5th with a bang! Yes, as you can see, you’re invited and you can wear your PJ’s. How cool is this!! No need to sign up. Just show up. It's that easy!
Kids AND parents are invited, but the PJ thing is only for kids (sorry). Everyone will meet in the Sanctuary, then after some craziness, the adults can go to the Family Life Center and hang out in the “bistro” for a while.
What’s at the “bistro”? Coffee, tea, and other refreshing drinks that will help everyone wake up. We also want to hear from parents regarding children’s Christian education. Yes, we want to know how we can best help you.
A new season of learning, experiencing, and growing is in the works. It's called...
FaithWeaver NOW® and kids, 3 years old through elementary, will explore the same Bible passage in age-appropriate classes each week, during Sunday School, Children’s Church and the Wednesday Evening Kid’s Gathering. Kids won’t just hear the Word. They'll experience it.
Beginning Sunday, October 5th, each week starts during Sunday School (9:30-10:15am), continues during Children’s Church (during the worship service), and wraps up at the Wednesday Evening Kid’s Gathering (6:00-7:30pm). *FaithWeaver NOW® is a product of Group.
